Presenting a pioneer project where a large quantity of steel has been used to build the banquet hall on the 6″‘ floor at a height of 100 feet. The use of Tata Structura, provides impeccable strength and quality to this particular project.
The main challenge was in the making of a large structure on the roof of the 6h floor with a cantilever of 5 meters in the front, which made it difficult to lift large structures to the next floor. The size of the roof was 21.5 X 128 meters and due to the presence of four multiplexes in the 5th floor, some of the columns were missing at the top. The main concern while designing was the wind speed and safety of the people.
A great amount of effort was put into building this huge structure of 95 MT on the roof. It was important for the designer to calculate each part of the structure whilst designing the same, very carefully and aesthetically.
Star Mall is a premium shopping mall coming up in Madhyamgram and has attracted big names like Spencers, Pantaloons and Inox to be a part of it.
The client’s requirement was to have four banquet halls on the roof in a limited period of time. Calculating all the various parameters, steel was the only way to create a structure at this height that would also be light and where changes could be made if required, without incurring any losses.
